President Muhammadu Buhari last night held a closed door meeting with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The meeting was about the fate of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos.
A source in the presidency said he is hopeful that the crisis between Tinubu and his estranged godson will be amicably resolved after the Aso Rock meeting.
Ambode had reportedly contacted President Buhari's wife to intervene in the saga, as it became obvious that Tinubu's men were bent on denying him the opportunity of a second term in office.
